Have you ever thought about writing a book but that little voice in your head says, “But, I’m Not a Good Writer!” Well, youre not alone. Nobody thinks they are good at writing, unless of course you are an English professor, but the truth is we all struggle with articulating our story at some level or another.
I certainly wasn’t a writer, and I can guarantee my High School and College teachers would agree, but that didn’t stop me from writing a best-selling book.
You writing ability will not sabotage your attempts at becoming an author so don’t let it stop you. All you need is a really good editor. Editors make your words sound good, but your editor can’t create your story. Your editor doesn’t know what you know, so the two of you are a winning combination and together you will bring your book to life.
Some of you may also be saying, “But, I Don’t Like to Write.” That’s ok! Your book is your story and all that matters is that you get your story out of your head and onto paper. Some of you will like writing with pen and paper, others will prefer to type on a keyboard and still others want to “talk” their book out and then have those recordings transcribed and created into a manuscript. There is no right or wrong way to get your story out…you just have to get it out.
